Coverage Analysis
Our attorneys routinely provide our insurance carrier clients with coverage opinions on issues ranging from covered losses to exclusion enforceability.
In order to best protect our clients’ interests, our attorneys draft the requisite coverage disclaimers or reservation of rights letters after a comprehensive review of the subject policy, including every piece of information that may impact coverage.
Coverage Litigation
Our Insurance Group represents parties in the context of coverage disputes, whether they be declaratory judgment actions and appeals, or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Regulatory
Our attorneys counsel insured clients with wide-ranging statutory and regulatory interpretation and litigation matters.
Subrogation
When our carrier clients are involved in first-party payments for property losses, our attorneys aggressively pursue subrogation actions on their behalf to recover sums paid due to the fault of a third-party.
Subrogation claims have included recovery for losses due to construction defect claims, catastrophic building fires, automobile liability, construction damage, equipment and machinery malfunction, and many others.
Reinsurance
Many of our carrier clients have reinsurance relationships, which necessitate careful attention to preserve. We are keenly aware of the obligations that may arise in the course of litigation, and are always vigilant to advise our clients accordingly.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Our attorneys are available to provide legal counsel to parties involved in mergers and acquisitions, and the myriad of insurance-related issues that often arise.
