Mr. Woods is a litigation associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He focuses his practice in defending insurance companies and municipal clients in premises liability, negligence, and tort actions.
Prior to joining CFO, Mr. Woods was a Legal Intern at a leading construction law firm and also at insurance staff counsel for one of the largest property, casualty, and auto insurance providers in the United States.
Mr. Woods graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2024. There, he was a Legal Intern at the Robert W. Entenmann Veterans Law Clinic and an Articles Editor of the Journal of International Business and Law. While on the journal, he wrote an article titled “Picking Up the Pieces: A Call for Federal Structural Inspection Laws in the Aftermath of the Surfside Condominium Collapse,” which won First Prize in the 2022-2023 ABA Forum on Construction Law – Law Student Writing Competition. The article was published in the Summer 2024 edition of The Construction Lawyer, a scholarly journal published to inform and instruct those who practice construction law.
Prior to law school, he graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2020 with degrees in Economics and Political Science with a Spanish minor, where he achieved summa cum laude distinction as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
