Congdon, Flaherty, O'Callaghan has an active Intern Program for students entering or attending college who have an interest in law. During the summer months, and sometimes during college vacation periods, we have interns working with our attorneys on tasks designed to acquaint them with the scope of activities in a law firm.
The program is designed to expose the interns to the widest variety of law-related activities possible. Many of our interns return each summer while attending college and law school.
"The experience I have been afforded while interning at CFO has been unique. Although I am undecided in my career path, the friendly and available professionals here have given me guidance, advice, and encouragement. From describing court bloopers, to working diligently in their offices for hours, the people here have shown me where success is derived from - the heart. My internship has taught me that success lies in whatever you put your heart into. I know that this is a lesson that I will carry with me forever."
Nicole Errett, Johns Hopkins University, Intern 2005
"The CFO Intern Program has given me an invaluable opportunity to explore several areas in which my career interests lie, such as in Law and Human Resources. The program has allowed me to observe how my academic background and interests interact first-hand in an organizational setting and experience how such things are applicable in a business environment. These factors combined with the fact that the employees here at CFO are always willing and eager to give advice and answer questions, makes this a truly rewarding working experience."
Jane Forman, Cornell University, Intern 2005
"My summer internship has been an extremely rewarding experience. A summer internship with CFO is an opportunity to engage in the day-to-day operations of a great law firm and acquire an introduction to law as a personal career choice. Since working here, I have had the opportunity to read depositions, observe EBT's, and work closely with lawyers on cases. Among other things, I have been impressed with the great office environment. Everyone has been so welcoming and really goes out of the way to make you feel like a part of the team."
