Attorneys
Positions may not always be available at the time a resume is submitted. CFO encourages attorneys admitted to the New York State Bar to submit their resumes for consideration.
We seek capable individuals at entry level and with experience in insurance law. For all entry-level associates, we assign experienced attorneys in the role of mentor/advisor.
Paralegal Professionals
CFO has a high-level professional paralegal staff. Paralegal candidates must be detail-oriented, with defense litigation experience.
Paralegals must be able to prepare legal documents, including: discovery demand notices and responses; discovery motions; process medical information; and handle the daily maintenance of active litigation files from opening to resolution.
Other Insurance Professionals
CFO continually seeks capable and highly motivated secretarial and clerical staff. Legal secretaries must have a minimum of 2 years legal experience; must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, and type 80+wpm.
Responsibilities include: pleading preparation, scheduling and coordination of meetings/depositions, transcription from Dictaphone, calendar management, general office duties, and other projects as assigned.
Legal Secretaries must be able to manage time and work flow, as all CFO legal secretaries support multiple attorneys.

Internship Program
CFO Legal has an active Intern Program for students entering or attending college who have an interest in law.
During the Summer months, and sometimes during college vacation periods, we have interns working with our attorneys on tasks designed to acquaint them with the scope of activities in a law firm.
The program is designed to expose the interns to the widest variety of law-related activities possible. Many of our interns return each Summer while attending college and law school.
