William J. Fishlinger is the managing partner of the firm and is responsible for its strategic guidance. He has litigated some of the largest and most complex civil cases in the State and Federal courts representing foreign and domestic corporations and foreign and domestic governmental entities.

He has been recognized by the insurance industry for his accomplishments receiving some of its most prestigious awards. He is the former Chairman and CEO of The Wright Insurance Group. In 2014, Mr. Fishlinger formed Gramercy Risk Holdings LLC, to among other things, provide program management and financial, operational and legal resources to both domestic and foreign property and casualty insurance companies. He currently serves as Chairman & CEO of Gramercy.

Mr. Fishlinger is a member of the American Bar Association; the New York State Bar Association; the Nassau County Bar Association; and the Defense Research Institute. He was admitted to practice before the Appellate Division, Second Department in 1988 the United States District Court for the Eastern of New York in 1989.

Mr. Fishlinger received his Juris Doctor Degree from St. John's University School of Law in 1987 and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1971. He served as member of the United States Air Force.

John P. Flaherty is a Senior Partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Flaherty is a trial attorney focusing his practice in all areas of personal injury defense work. Mr. Flaherty has lectured on trial techniques and medical issues, for the New York County Lawyer's Association, Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

He has also conducted seminars on trial tactics and strategy in medical malpractice cases, including mock trials, at the New York University Medical School, St. John's Episcopal Hospital, the Suffolk County Podiatry Association, and the Suffolk County Medical Society. Mr. Flaherty has lectured on the issue of informed consent and related malpractice topics at seminars presented by the Medical Risk Management Advisory Corp.

Mr. Flaherty received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Fordham Law School where he was on Law Review and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Villanova University. Additionally, he attended the Columbia University School of Law Masters Program and Molloy College School of Nursing.

Frank Schroeder is a Partner and trial attorney in the firm’s Litigation. He concentrates his practice in the area of insurance defense and criminal defense litigation. As a former homicide prosecutor, Mr. Schroeder tried many of the most serious murder cases in Nassau County. He has been a faculty member teaching trial techniques at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina and at Hofstra Law School’s NITA Program.

Charles M. Schnepp, Jr. is a Senior Partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group and is the managing attorney of the Long Island office. Mr. Schnepp practices in all areas of personal injury defense litigation, and is the partner supervising a litigation unit focusing in both personal lines and non-personal lines cases, including construction site accidents; products liability; premises liability; false arrest/malicious prosecution; sports/amusement park liability; automobile liability; Dram Shop liability; toxic exposure; and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Schnepp is responsible for trying cases in both the Federal and State Courts.

Prior to becoming a member of the New York State Bar in 1984, Mr. Schnepp had ten years experience in overseeing the preparation of defenses in civil litigation and managing a special investigation unit while employed in the claims department of a major, national insurer.

Mr. Schnepp is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He has participated in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Northeast Region Program. Thomas M. Evans is a Partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. To date, he has been responsible or securing multi million dollar recoveries with many more large damage cases still in litigation.

Christine Gasser is the Partner who supervises the firm's Appellate Practice Group and the Schools/Education Practice Group. Ms. Gasser has written and argued more than 200 appeals, including appeals before the Court of Appeals of the State of New York, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York for the First, Second, Third and Fourth Departments as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ms. Gasser's appeals cover the entire range of tort cases including significant cases in the areas of school district liability, municipal liability, products liability, premises liability and labor law.

Ms. Gasser also heads the School/Education Practice Group where she currently supervises defense cases on behalf of more than 75 school districts. Ms. Gasser has presented numerous lectures to education groups and school districts on areas of school district liability. In addition she has served as an instructor in the CPCU program.

Ms. Gasser was admitted to practice before the Appellate Division, Second Department in 1988. She is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern (1990), Eastern (1989) Districts of New York and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1992.

Ms. Foley works primarily in the firm's appellate department. Ms. Mondelli is a litigator who has defended an array of cases including medical malpractice, motor vehicle liability claims, insurance subrogation, premises liability, civil rights, and school and municipality liability issues. Previously, Ms. Mondelli was an Associate of Kanterman & Taub, P.C., in Manhattan, where she practiced medical malpractice defense.

Ms. Mondelli is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association.

Ms. Mondelli has been admitted to the New York State Bar and the Connecticut State Bar since 2001. She has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York since 2005.

Thomas J. Nemia

Mr. Nemia is a trial attorney in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the area of defendant’s personal injury defense litigation on behalf of the firm’s commercial and municipal clients. During his career, Mr. Nemia has tried numerous jury and non-jury civil and criminal cases to verdict.

Previously, Mr. Nemia was an assistant prosecutor with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City, New Jersey where he prosecuted all major violent crimes. When he was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Mr. Nemia prosecuted cases involving insurance fraud, economic crimes and political corruption. As a prosecutor, Mr. Nemia attended advocacy training at the prestigious National Advocacy Center (NAC) located in Columbia, South Carolina and operated by the United States Department of Justice.

Following his career as a criminal prosecutor , Mr. Nemia segued into the private sector defending carrier and insured’s interests in motor vehicle, first party, third party, broker liability, architect/engineer liability, construction defect, labor law, premises, asbestos/toxic tort, coverage and personal injury cases.

In addition to being admitted to the New York State Bar, Mr. Nemia is admitted to the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York and all federal and state courts in New Jersey, Connecticut and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Nemia received his Juris Doctor degree from the Creighton University Law School in 1987 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1984.

Jason L. Pullman

As a litigation associate, Mr. Pullman defends clients in cases involving premises, school and municipal liability, construction site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, breach of contract and FINRA arbitrations.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Pullman served as a law clerk for The Honorable Ned M. Rosenberg of the New Jersey Superior Court’s Civil Division in Newark, New Jersey.

Prior to joining CFO, Mr. Pullman was an associate at a prominent plaintiff’s law firm in Manhattan, where he represented clients in cases involving personal injuries, medical device and drug product liability, medical malpractice and commercial disputes. He handled all aspects of litigation from initial case evaluation through discovery, trials and appeals.

Mr. Pullman obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2007 and his Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, RI in 2010.

Richard J. Nicolello

Mr. Nicolello provides legal services to insurance carriers and other clients related to insurance coverage, including coverage opinions and litigation of declaratory judgment actions. From 1988-October 2008, Mr. Nicolello handled the defense of litigation involving claims of personal injuries as well as miscellaneous litigation.

Mr. Nicolello also serves as a Nassau County Legislator. He was a charter member of the Legislature and has represented the 9th Legislative District since 1996. He currently serves as the Chair of the Legislature’s Finance Committee.

Mr. Nicolello is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Association of School Attorneys, and the Columbian Lawyers' Association (the professional association of Italian-American attorneys) and is a member of the Board of Directors of Irish-Americans in Government.

Warren J. Finnell

Mr. Finnell specializes in estate planning, wills and trusts and also works extensively in real estate, both residential and commercial, including leases as well as general corporate practice.

He has been counsel to the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, Inc. since 1970 and has served as Chairman of the Foundation's Planned Giving Committee.

Mr. Finnell is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and is enrolled in the Association's Trusts and Estates Law Section, Elder Law Section and Business Law Section. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1958.

Joseph Holotka

Mr. Holotka is a litigation associate handling all aspects of litigation from inception to trial of cases ranging from motor vehicle, premises liability, products liability, Labor Law, medical and dental malpractice, property damage and fire damage cases.

Since graduating from law school, he has held positions in both plaintiff’s and defendant’s practices where he handled similar types of cases. For a number of years, he was a partner in a firm whose concentration was primarily handling Federal Employer’s Liability Act cases in the Federal courts throughout the Northeast involving railroad associated accidents with the Long Island Railroad, Metro-North and Amtrak. As noted, these cases involved litigation and practice in a variety of Federal jurisdictions up to the US Supreme Court. He also practiced for numerous years in the insurance defense field and has extensive trial court experience of complex litigation of both liability and damages aspects for more than 30 years.

He has prepared and written briefs and presented oral argument in a wide range of appellate matters including appeals of motion decisions and trial verdicts at both the State and Federal levels. He also has experience in multi- state litigation matters in the Federal Courts.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1978. Thereafter he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Western New England School of Law in 1982.

Mr. Holotka is licensed to practice in the State of New York; the Federal District courts of Connecticut, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York; Federal Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. He has also handled matters venued in the Federal District courts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maryland through admission through local counsel.

He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association at present and has been a past member of the Suffolk County Bar, New York State Bar Association, Federal Bar Counsel and Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers. He has lectured on the issues of jury selection and economic experts before the Suffolk Bar and New York State Bar Association. He recently finished his tenure as the associate chairman of the Insurance Law section of the Nassau County Bar Association.
